Mr. Kazi Abu Muhammad Majedur Rahman

Mr. Kazi Abu Mohammad Majedur Rahman is one of the Independent Director of the Board of Eastland Insurance PLC. officially joined in the Board on 28 September, 2026. He is a highly accomplished executive with more than 30 years of banking experience, Mr. Rahman is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC). He also brings extensive cross-border governance experience to the Board as the Independent Director and Chairman of Maldives Islamic Bank, Maldives.

His distinguished leadership career features prominent roles in major financial institutions and capital market bourses, including serving as the Managing Director of the Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (12.07.2016 to 11.07.2019) and Premier Bank PLC (.02.02.2012 to 01.02.2015). Furthermore, he has held key senior executive positions as the Country Head of Bank Alfalah Ltd. (14.05.2005 to 30.06.2009) and Additional Managing Director of AB Bank PLC (01.10.2009 to 01.02.2012). Mr. Rahman holds a Master’s degree in Social Science from the University of Dhaka.
